Protest presented orally to the royal audiencia of Mexico on behalf of Domingo Valcárcel and Antonio Joaquín de Ribadeneyra, judges of the said audiencia, who had been publicly excommunicated by Archbishop Manuel Joseph Rubio y Salinas for alleged disrespect of ecclesiastical authority in connection with their examination of the Venetian, Giambattista Anovasio, a member of the Servite Order.

Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area.
